3:6 Foundation

Strengthening small religious communities through technology.

שְׁלֹשָׁה שֶׁיּוֹשְׁבִין וְעוֹסְקִין בַּתּוֹרָה, שְׁכִינָה שְׁרוּיָה בֵינֵיהֶם
When three sit together and engage with Torah, the Divine Presence dwells among them.
Pirkei Avot 3:6

Mission

The 3:6 Foundation (pronounced “Three Six”) is organized exclusively for charitable and religious purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Our mission is to strengthen religious communities by providing software and technical support that help small congregations coordinate gatherings requiring a specific number of participants. We initially serve Jewish congregations coordinating minyanim, and we are open to assisting other religious organizations with similar gathering needs.

We focus on smaller organizations — typically those with fewer than 100 participants at any given gathering.

Programs & Services

The Foundation hosts and operates the Ez2Uze / Rabbi's Assistant communication platform on Google Cloud, using Google Workspace for Nonprofits. The Foundation provides the underlying software at no software cost to participating congregations and covers operational hosting expenses for the platform itself.

Each participating congregation is responsible for its own third-party service accounts (telephony provider, messaging provider, and domain registration). The Foundation offers optional setup and maintenance assistance for these services to congregations that need it.

Service Area

The Foundation operates nationally. Initial congregations served are located in Arizona, California, and Connecticut.

Organization & Status

3:6 Foundation is a nonprofit corporation. Federal tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) is planned; the application has not yet been submitted. Contributions are not currently tax-deductible.
